How to Successfully Manage Your Company’s Digital Transformation by Overcoming the Digital Skills Gap

The increasing digitization of our private, professional, and public life is commonly referred to as a disruptive process that is fundamentally changing the way companies compete, interact, and create value. Therefore, the capability to leverage the business potential of innovative digital technologies is critical. This capability is predominantly determined by the digital skills of the employees a company has access to. Latest research shows that a broad skill base is required for a successful Digital Transformation, and that lacking digital skills are among the top barriers to Digital Transformation. According to a recent study by Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Initiative for Digital Transformation (IDT), 64 percent of respondents claimed that their company does not have the personnel with the skills necessary for digital transformation.

In collaboration with TUM / IDT and the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS), SAP SE has identified the current status in companies, as well as a maturity model based on best practices to help companies develop the skills which are essential for the digital transformation.
This webinar helps you to understand this research, how to create a digital skill plan and how to close your company’s skills gap.
